District Superintendent Gets Birds Eye View
Southwest District Superintendent Gale Ford Smith recently got a unique opportunity to view the growth of
new homes in her area by an over-flight of the western part of Fort Bend County. Smith and her New Church
Start Committee are charged with the responsibility of planting new churches in high growth areas. During
her flight she was able to view new and proposed residential and commercial subdivisions in the Cinco
Ranch, Katy, Seven Meadows, Lakewood Estates and other areas.
The flight was provided by Mission Bend United Methodist pilots Jim Barton and Eston Hupp in Jim’s
personal aircraft. |
